Flash Gordon 50th
client Brief:
Our client wanted to throw themselves a themed 50th birthday — Flash Gordon style. After speaking to the client we new they wanted something iconically NYC and memorable — the Rainbow Room immediately fit the bill when it came to venue selection. After watching the entire cult classic 70’s movie we developed a vision board that was immersive in design. We worked with our team of vendors to curate a visual feel for the reception space that emulated Ming’s Palace. We had custom costumes designed for characters Hedonia & Hawkman who enjoyed socializing with guests. We created ornate diverse centerpieces rotating between custom ice sculptures, dry ice, LED globes, and metal tree sculptures, without the use of any florals which was imperative to the client.
